CanJam Exhibition London 2025 Highlights
starting with Headphone Amps & Dacs......
Great OTL Tube Amplifier Feliks Audio Echo Vibe successor of the already fantastic Echo mk2 and still on the affordable side
stunning first listening impressions with the Topping DX5 II, looks and built quality also really impressive for the asking price
a potential best buy...
another fantastic budget offering the Fiio K13 R2R, first listening impressions have been really impressive, the
unit seems to be very well built and also very hefty unlike the K11
.......still one of the best portable options out there the Chord Mojo 2, impresses me every time i listen to it
small, solid & great quality sound on the go
The Sendy Audio Kylin caught me be surprise an absolute beauty built and sound wise, a Class A Amp-Dac at around 1500€
The mighty Ifi idsd Valkyrie an endgame level transportable amp/dac, great aesthetics meet fantastic sound performance
very detailed and neutral presentation with plenty of options to influence the sound
Topping's Flagships offerings the brand new A & D 900 on the expensive side but built very nicely and impressive performance
still impressive the solid Ferrum Erco Gen 2 (DAC/AMP) and it's Hypsos external power supply
On the headphone front the new Hifiman Ananda Unveiled was a big surprise, very open sounding and possibly a more affordable option
of the "unveiled" technology
another great Meze Headphone the 105 Silva, it seems to combine the pro's of both the 105 Aer and the 109
so potentially we could be looking at a killer value
A positive surprise was the Aiva 2 from Sendy Audio, this open-back headphone sounds excellent at a quiet affordable pricetag
The Audeze LCD-S20 was another interesting headphone, a planar closed-back at an affordable price of around 500€
The Fiio Ft1 Pro is an absolute banger, priced around 200€ this is a fantastic open-back headphone for beginners but not only.....
Taking it up a notch with the FT7, another great offering from Fiio the best headphone they have done so far, it sounds
absolutely amazing price point around 750€.
finally the Meze Poet was my personal highlight of the show, at least for headphones. The built and sound performance is simply stellar
at least for my taste (around 2000€)
Concerning IEM's there were some amazing products at the show but i will only mention a few here
The Alien Brain from Campfire Audio is an excellent sounding IEM priced at around 1000€
another great option at the same price is the Mystic 8 from Letshuoer a wonderfully tuned IEM
but for my taste the best IEM in the 1000€ price range is the ThieAudio Monarch MK4, it combines the best of the 2 previous
generations of the Monarch's adding a physical "bass boost" switch which for my preference makes it very close to perfect.
At a more affordable price around 200€ the Hidizs MK12 absolutely stood out to me, with a very lively exciting presentation & powerful bass.
it's a great option for the price
Finally 2 IEMS i really liked were the Flipears Legion and Aegis, both fantastic In ears with an absolutely gorgeous looks and amazing sound,
the first one more technical and neutral, the second one my absolute favorite with a more laidback treble performance and boosted low end.
Furthermore there were also some innovative products like the DHS-1 from Palma Audio a new brand with an interesting concept
a very special headphone that is a closed and open-back headphone at the same time. During the short listening session i had with it
two things stood out, on the positive side the sound quality was very good in both scenarios, on the negative side when using
as a closed-back headphone the "passive" outside noise isolation was not that great.
Another great example of product innovation were the bluetooth headphones with noise cancelling from a new company called Ecoute Audio
Usually i'm not a big fan of wireless headphones but special about the TH-1 is that the amplifier stage is equipped with Vacuum Tubes
which give them a warm, creamy and lush sounding presentation, the built and comfort is excellent too. This could be a really great option on the go.
There were other great products at the show, impossible to list them all. ZMF, DCA, Hifiman, Chord, Astell & Kern........
Bokeh Closed & Noire X & XO, HE-1000 Unveiled and and and ......
....... from ultra affordable to ultra-ultra high-end.....
Altogether this is a fantastic exhibition and really a great opportunity to
listen to a lot of gear in one place...... looking forward to the next CanJam London 2026
