The He-6 Se V2 are Open-Back Planar Magnetic Headphones from the well known brand Hifiman, the retail-price on these is 1799€  but they often go on sale for less then 1000€. They come in shiny blue finish.

Accessories included are a practical headphone stand, one balanced cable ending in a 4-pin xlr and an adapter to single-ended 6.35mm

The cable is somewhat bizarre, not great looking and feeling but it get's the job done.

The build quality of the headphones seems disappointing for the asking price, they are on the heavy side too with a weight of around 500gr , the headband  is the same used for the Hifiman Deva Model, an entry level Headphone.

So far nothing to get exited about right? But than comes the sound .......

Once the headphones are fitted correctly on my head they feel not to bad also the considerable hefty weight doesn't bother me at all. Even after long listening sessions they never became uncomfortable.  The next step is amp pairing, these headphones are quite difficult to drive, a Dongle or a Dap will not have enough juice to drive these Cans at least those i tried, even some or a lot of desktop amps will struggle to get these to decent listening levels, and even sometimes power is not enough to have great sound performance. Finally after trying them out on several Amps the best results i could achieve was pairing  them with the Singxer SA-1 and especially the Aune S-17 Pro. The synergy with both of these amps is fantastic, the S-17 Pro has so much power resulting in a better control of the drivers where on the SA-1 at high gain the volume wheel was nearly maxed-out at 98%. The Questyle CMA-400i and the Xduuo MTA-604 power-wise can drive these headphones but quality-wise will not be on the same level as the other by some margin.

Final Word:

These headphones can sound crazy good with the right amp, open big sounding with juicy vocals and great bass extension. For those who consider buying these be sure to have some budget left to pair them with  a decent amp otherwise you might be disappointed. For me personally these are actually the best headphones in my collection.
