Thieaudio Hype 2 IEM's

The Thieaudio Hype 2 are hybrid In Ears consisting of two 10mm Dynamic Drivers and two Sonion Balanced Armatures each, priced
at around 300 Euros in the EU available in two colors purple and blue. So looking at the price tag those are to be considered
in the mid-tear segment of IEMS.

The size of the box they come in is quiet big and lets you feel that you have purchased a quality product. So does
the cable that is provided with these IEMS, it's simply great the only nitpick i have with it, it's not modular it terminates in a
3.5 Single Ended plug only, no balanced option is provided that's a bit disappointing. The connection to the earphones
is a 2 pin connector which i prefer much over MMCX. Getting on with the unboxing, two types of ear tips are provided
(foam and silicone) both in sizes S/M/L, finally a case of good quality is rounding up the accessories, it is of
a decent size, along with the IEMS, tips and cables and even a small sized dongle could fit in it.

The built quality of the HYPE 2 is excellent, the shell consists of a high-quality 3D resin & has a metal nozzle with a diameter of 6.2mm.
The fit of the IEM's is among the best experiences i had so far, due to materials chosen on the shell it is also very lightweight and with
the provided tips a comfortable fit should be easily archived in most cases.

As for the sound signature of the Hype 2's, i would consider them to be slightly V-shaped, the bass with its IMPACT2 technology brings a subwoofer
like presentation so it goes deeper but not in a sense that i would consider it to be exaggerated, but it is on slightly bass-(ier) side.
Same goes for the treble it's slightly elevated but not to the point that it will sound too harsh or fatiguing at least to my ears.
The mids are a bit recessed but still well balanced. Altogether these IEM's deliver are really enjoyable listening experience, and in this
price segment, the amount of resolution, staging and layering is about average.

Comparing to the entry-level IEM's like the KZ ZS10 pro and 7HZ Salnotes there is considerable jump in sound quality in every department
as it should be. Things change when comparing to IEM's coming closer to 300 Euro price mark, as it is very crowded in there and there a lot
of good options which are better in some disciplines & also slightly surpass the Hype 2 as a complete package.

Final Verdict: I think for the price these IEM's are a solid option and great allrounders for all music genres, i think they do not excel at
anything particular but on the other side they do not fail either. The build quality is excellent and they are not demanding when it comes
to partnering gear. As for the tuning these IEM's are more suited for those who are looking for a little more bassy & warm characteristics
than those seeking for a neutral-analytical presentation. To mention on the negative side the lack of a balanced connection option on the
stock cables provided.
