These are the Fiio FT3 Open-back Dynamic Driver Headphones (350 Ohm Version) retail price is 299€ in Europe. The first open-back wired headphones from Fiio a manufacturer who has produced very good DAP’s, dongles and desktop gear in the past. 

The amount of accessories that comes with these headphones is impressive, along the FT3 you get a very long modular cable (3 meters) which is convenient because you can switch the adaptors (3.5mm, 4.4mm, 6.35mm, 4 Pin XLR) so you don’t need to buy a balanced cable. The travel case included is also very nice, you also get 2 different pairs of pads (suede & leather) which offer slightly different sound tuning. By the way, the quality of the accessories is great.

The headphones themselves look and feel fantastic. The material used for the FT3 is aluminium instead of plastic which make them feel very premium and also helps with the overall weight of the headphones, they fit very well with either pads. The leather pads can feel a bit warm after long listening sessions anyway i personally prefer using the suede pads as they are more comfortable and i also like the sound signature more.   

The suede pads add more bass, warmth and are a bit less bright in the treble while still being well balanced, it doesn’t mean that the leather pads are bad but i personally prefer the richer sound of the suede pads.

Pairing was quiet easy, in fact these worked well with all of my amplifiers and even dongles .The competition in the 300 Euro price bracket is  very steep, but i find the FT3 is one of the best in that price category.
